About Us

Burton is a name deeply connected to the history of modern snowboarding. Founded by Jake Burton Carpenter in Vermont in 1977, the company grew from a small snowboard operation into a global brand dedicated to snowboarding and outdoor equipment. Burton continues to develop products around the needs of riders, combining board design, technical apparel and mountain-ready accessories.

The Burton USA collection covers the complete snowboarding setup. Riders can shop snowboards, snowboard boots and bindings alongside helmets, goggles, gloves, mittens, backpacks and other accessories. Burton's current snowboard lineup includes different shapes and riding styles, as well as the Family Tree collection of snowboards, splitboards and powder-oriented designs.

Technical outerwear is another major part of the Burton range. Jackets, snow pants and bibs are available in a variety of constructions, with selected styles using GORE-TEX® and Burton DRYRIDE™ technologies. Layering options include base layers, fleece, hoodies and other cold-weather apparel designed for time on the mountain.

Burton also continues to develop equipment systems that make snowboarding more intuitive. The Step On® system combines compatible boots and bindings for a fast boot-to-binding connection, while the [ak] collection focuses on high-performance outerwear and apparel for demanding mountain conditions.

From first turns on the mountain to technical backcountry missions, Burton offers snowboarding equipment and clothing for men, women and kids. The brand's combination of boards, boots, bindings, outerwear and accessories makes it possible to build a complete snowboarding setup around individual riding preferences and conditions.
